The role of hydraulic pump in excavator is very important. It is also a component of the three core assemblies of excavator. Excavator manufacturers have very high requirements for the selection of hydraulic pumps. In addition to normal operation, they have strict requirements on the service life and performance of hydraulic pumps. The structural precision of hydraulic pumps is extremely high, and it is common for hydraulic pumps to be damaged due to inadequate maintenance.
1. Insufficient hydraulic pump pressure
Leading to the lack of working performance of the excavator, first we need to check whether the hydraulic oil level meets the working requirements, eliminate hydraulic oil leakage, hydraulic oil filter blockage but poor hydraulic oil flow, thus affecting the normal operation of the entire oil pump, hydraulic oil aging and hydraulic oil deterioration pollution, resulting in the inability to bring working pressure in the entire circulation system. The control valve pressure regulation fails, and the normal operation and adjustment of the normal pressure of the entire hydraulic pump cannot be performed normally. The above points will reduce the occurrence of such failures if they are carefully observed in daily use.
2. Hydraulic pump overheating
Using inferior hydraulic oil or insufficient hydraulic oil will cause the viscosity of hydraulic oil that does not meet the use requirements to increase the friction in the hydraulic pump and cause wear of precision parts, which is usually irreversible damage. When choosing hydraulic oil, you must use a hydraulic pump that meets the required quality. Long-term pressure working state, increased pressure, especially in old equipment or closed environment and high temperature environment will also cause the hydraulic pump temperature to be too high. Cooling system failure will also cause the hydraulic pump temperature to be too high. Long-term high temperature will cause great damage to the hydraulic oil pipeline, cylinder, and hydraulic pump. The internal leakage of the hydraulic pump will cause pressure loss and continuous high-load operation will also cause high working temperature.
3. Hydraulic pump noise and vibration.
Poor alignment of the pump shaft and the coupling will cause the hydraulic pump to produce abnormal noise and vibration during operation. Looseness and wear of the internal parts of the hydraulic pump will cause abnormal noise in the hydraulic pump during operation. After the hydraulic oil is filled and mixed with air to form bubbles, it will enter the hydraulic pump during operation with the hydraulic oil, causing cavitation, which will also cause abnormal noise in the hydraulic pump. Poor quality of hydraulic oil and low/high viscosity that do not meet the use requirements will cause the hydraulic pump to work unstably.
4. Hydraulic pump working abnormally
It is difficult for individuals to eliminate this kind of problem. There are many reasons for it. Check the electronic control system. The excavator cannot normally transmit the command to the hydraulic pump, which causes the hydraulic pump to fail to work properly. The pump drive device is abnormal. The engine driving the hydraulic pump fails or the motor of the pure electric excavator has problems, which will also cause hydraulic pump problems. The internal structure of the hydraulic pump is stuck and cannot be started. Operation failures and other problems require professional technicians to repair.
5. Hydraulic pump leakage
The hydraulic pump works in a high temperature working environment for a long time, and the requirements for seals are extremely high. This kind of problem usually only occurs in old excavators. Replace seals and aging accessories in time. Loose connections including pipes, joints, bolts, etc. will cause hydraulic oil leakage. Leakage caused by cracks in the main body of the pump body to cracks in the outer shell. This kind of problem can usually only be solved by replacing the entire hydraulic pump assembly.
